Assessment
Unaided Work:
Prepares and presents a presentation on the latest research in physical medicine, conducts in-depth research of the method of physical medicine for a specific disease. 1. A study of the last 7 years, on the effectiveness of the application of the method of physical medicine in the case of a disease, from the European Union, the USA, Canada, Australia. 2. Describe the specific disease (visual material may be used). 3. Describe the aim of the research, participants and their division into groups, research methods, tools, results, conclusions. 4. Independent studies of informative sources and visual materials and answers to e-tests.
Assessment Criteria:
Examination method: oral or written exam, situation task analysis. Answer to one theoretical question in a written exam, answer to two theoretical questions in an oral exam, full answer receives 4 points. The analysis of the situation task includes - a description of the period of illness, the formulation of treatment goals, the choice of physical medicine methods, in accordance with the set goals, the development of a treatment course for 10 days, a full answer receives 6 points. The total evaluation of the theoretical and practical part of the exam is 10 points for a full answer. Quality of answers to theoretical e-tests. Demonstration of a plan in a physiotherapy pool for the rehabilitation of a certain disease.
Final Examination (Full-Time):Exam
Final Examination (Part-Time):Exam
Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:The student will gain knowledge about simple, scientifically proven methods of physical medicine and their application, about the impact of physiotherapy in the pool on the human body and the possibilities of its application in the rehabilitation of various diseases.
Skills:Choose the method of physical medicine (electrotherapy, heat, cold, light, etc.) according to the patient's state of health; adequately incorporate physical medicine methods into physiotherapy. Choose suitable physiotherapy methods to be used in the pool.
Competencies:Ability to choose appropriate evidence-based physical medicine methods in the planning of physiotherapeutic treatment, adapting it to the individual needs of the patient, to independently choose and apply the most appropriate method of physiotherapy in the pool for the rehabilitation of a certain disease or improvement of health.
