Study course description
Preliminary Knowledge:
Anatomy, physiology and pathological physiology, pharmacology, medical ethics, clinical care basics, introduction of infection control, first aid.
Objective:
1st year students practice time to refine and strengthen the theoretical knowledge and practical skills, including basic needs of patients and consumers, in accordance with the principles of professional ethics, professional standards in nursing and the first academic year program.

Assessment
Unaided Work:

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:Healthy and sick client/patient basic need assurance and assessment; importance of aseptic and antiseptics and their application in practice; the patient's self-care deficit levels ensuring the patient's physiological needs.
Skills:Practical skills that are necessary for the patient's physiological basic needs, including: NI prevention, comfort and security, all kinds of hygiene procedures, the patient's bed-making, patient feeding, the patient's excreta collection and disinfection measures, patient transportation in bed, space and the environment, consistent with safety and ergonomics basic principles.
Competencies:The ability to use and evaluate appropriate clinical procedures, medical devices and other activities, to ensure optimum patient care.
