To the Bone. Drawing classes at the Anatomy Museum with artist Laimdota Malle
The Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Anatomy Museum invites you to participate in four drawing classes during which the participants will study different specimens from the museum and learn various drawing techniques.
You do not need to have any prior knowledge of anatomy or experience in art. All required drawing materials and refreshments are included in the price. After the class you will be able to take your drawings with you and surprise your family and friends!
Artist Laimdota Malle has graduated with master's degrees from the Manchester Metropolitan University and the Latvian Academy of Art. Presently, Malle is the residing artist in the RSU Anatomy Museum.

Bones
During the first class we will draw the bones of the human skeleton using soft and hard colour pencils and graphite on paper, and create short term and long term drawings.

Plaster casts
During this class we will draw plaster casts of various parts of human body using graphite, pastels, ink, and charcoal.

Wet specimens
During this class we will draw so-called “wet preparations” using water colours and colour pencils.

Corrosion casts
We will draw the most fragile specimens in the museum's collection — corrosion preparations — combined with various forms of nature that are visually similar. We will employ all drawing techniques acquired in the previous classes — graphite, ink, charcoal, and water colour.
Fee: 25 EUR (including all materials and light refreshments)
