Summer graduations have begun at Riga Stradiņš University (RSU). For the first time, our graduations are taking place in the RSU Inspiration Park. 1,300 health and social science students will receive their diplomas in a wonderful summery atmosphere. On 31 March, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) held an event entitled ‘RSU consolidation: from changes to growth’, dedicated to presenting the results of consolidation, during which the changes implemented over recent years and their impact on the university’s development were assessed. The participants were addressed by RSU Rector Prof. Aigars Pētersons, Minister of Finance Arvils Ašeradens, and Director of the Department of Higher Education, Science and Innovation at the Ministry of Education and Science Liene Levada.
Rihards Pēteris Ročāns will defend his doctoral thesis on Thursday, 28 May, in an open meeting of the Doctoral Committee of Clinical Medicine. His dissertation is titled 'Biomarkers for Predicting Complication in Microvascular Flap Surgery.'
On 23 March, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) welcomed Prof. Claudio Cuello (McGill University, Canada), one of the world’s leading researchers of Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative processes. The visit took place at the Institute of Public Health, bringing together a wide range of researchers, teaching staff, and clinical specialists from various Latvian scientific and medical institutions.
