RSU recognised as a leading centre for innovation

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has published its latest Global Innovation Index 2025, and three universities have been identified as the leading centres of innovation in Latvia: Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU), Riga Technical University, and the University of Latvia, according to the Latvian Patent Office.

RSU Council reviews financial and research results

On 11 September, the RSU Council held its first meeting of the academic year. In his address, RSU Rector Prof. Aigars Pētersons highlighted the significance of the meeting, taking place as the university marks its 75th anniversary and reflects on past achievements.

At educational event Smart and Safe – future paediatricians promote a healthy lifestyle

To highlight the high incidence of child injuries, the interactive and educational event Smart and Safe (Zinošs un drošs) for children and parents was held on 6 September for the eighth time, bringing together many families. The event was organised by the Latvian Association of Paediatricians, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU), and the RSU Paediatrics Student Research Interest Group, in cooperation with the Children’s Clinical University Hospital, Riga City Council, and several partners.

On Friday, October 10, at the RSU Social Sciences Research Centre, Master’s programme students are invited to attend the Project Exchange, where in an informal setting they will have the opportunity to:

 

RSU and RSU LASE staff and students are invited to go on a sunset hike along the sea: Pabaži Station → Saulkrasti Station (~8 km).
