Objective

To develop students' understanding of the sociological theories, main concepts of social psychology, human socialisation process and the influence of social environment as well as the psychological science and its relationship to other sciences – human cognitive and emotional sphere and personality.

Prerequisites

Secondary school level knowledge in social sciences.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

Students acquire knowledge about sociology theories, social psychology concepts, human socialisation process as well as the science of psychology, research methods, history, human cognitive and emotional sphere, personality.

Skills

Students acquire the skills to navigate the theories of sociology, social psychology basic concepts and human socialisation process dynamics, as well as the basic concepts of general psychology, human cognitive and emotional spheres, basic concepts of personality.

Competence

Analyse the processes of individual socialisation and personality development. Understand the basic concepts of general psychology, cognitive, emotional and personality processes.
