Preparation and conduction in-service training for police officers on cybercrimes. In order to do so, I use different technical and legal methods.

Internation Tribunal for Former Yugoslavia

Adjudication of case Prosecutor v Gotovina at all. Preparation of legal documents, document study, preparation of judgment.

EUROJUST- THEMIS EU Rule of law mission

The task of the first EU Rule of law mission was to provide assistance for Georgian authorities no develop comprehensive criminal justice reform. I was a responsible expert for sectors of the judiciary and legal education. During a mission we did a comprehensive assessment of the existing situation, identify problems, close cooperation with different NGO and legal professionals and other stakeholders.

Criminal justice strategy adopted by Georgian state authorities. My expert duties include assessment, organization, and participation in different level meetings, for a purpose to create the Action plan for the implementation of Strategy.

Supervisor prof. hab. d. iur. U. Krastins. In order to prepare a doctoral thesis, I did comprehensive legal research, improve my computer, legal wring and other skills.

Proffessional trainings and internship

I participated in different lengths study programmes ( from a week up to 6 months), organized by the Ministry of Justice, different international organizations, like US CEELI, Deutsche Stiftung, OECD etc.

It improves my theoretical and practical skills in European law, Legal English, legal writings, court management, implementation of IT into court and case management, etc. Programmes were hosted and provided by Edinburg university, Irish Colledge, Swedish, British, Norwegian, US, German governments, ERA.

Achievements

Prepared study program

Together with lecturer M. iur. D. Homenko we developed study program for course: Cybercrime investigation.

Chaired study programmes

Study programme for bachelors and Masters: Constitutional law and Procedural constitutional law.

Topics of scientific research

Information technology law, cyber crimes, cyber - jurisdiction, robotics law, international public law.

Projects

Manager and scientific editor on collective monograph: "Introduction in the information society law.

I am the author of four monographs, all in Latvian. Among them in 2015 : "Cybercriminality, cybercrimes, and jurisdiction".

Besides, I have more than 30 scientific articles published mostly in the Latvian language, but have also few publications in English:

Conferences

I was the keynote speaker in Symposium hosted by Waseda university law department in Tokyo. (2013), dedicated for cybersecurity problems after Snowden revelations.

From 2011- 2018) I was also a keynote speaker at different international conferences held in Riga and related with cybercrime and cybersecurity issues.

In 2018 I participate and did the presentation: Bringing cybercriminals to justice challenges for XXI century" in Conference hosted by Moscow state university faculty of law.
