Study course description
Preliminary Knowledge:
Successfully completed programme study courses.
Objective:
The purpose of writing the Bachelor’s Thesis is the confirmation, consolidation and development of theoretical knowledge, professional skills and abilities. Preparation of students for further studies in the professional Master’s study programme.
Assessment
Unaided Work:
Development and public defence of the Bachelor’s Thesis in front of the commission. Bachelor’s Thesis must comply with RSU, Faculty of Law Requirements for Writing Research Paper.
Assessment Criteria:
Knowledge of the subject matter of the research, the ability to present the research: to justify the topicality of the research, to define the purpose and objectives of the research, to draw innovative conclusions based on the findings of the research and to make reasoned proposals on the improvement of the legal framework, as well as the ability to provide full answers to questions put forward by the Reviewer of the Bachelor’s Thesis and the Commission in relation to the Bachelor’s Thesis are assessed during the defence.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:Knowledge of legal institutions and their regulation in laws and regulations in the scope of the Bachelor’s study programme. Depending on the chosen topic of the Bachelor’s Thesis, the student is able to select the necessary legislation, scientific literature and case law.
Skills:Successful defence of the Bachelor’s Thesis indicates the student’s ability to work with legal sources on a regular basis, to draft a research plan (structure) according to the chosen topic for the Thesis, to determine the scope of the research, to analyse the opinions of other authors, by drawing conclusions and making suggestions, as well as it proves the basis of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in compliance with the requirements of the study programme.
Competencies:To keep track of amendments to the laws and regulations and the novelties of the case law independently, provide an assessment of the development of legal trends, justify and present their points of view and work both individually and within the group.
