Preliminary Knowledge:
General psychology.
Objective:
To develop knowledge of the psychological aspects of individual and group behaviour in contemporary organisations, as well as the ability to apply the knowledge of organisational psychology in such areas as personnel recruitment, performance management, talent management, employee development.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
The student independently reads the literature sources; develops a job description; conducts a competency interview and analyses it; prepares for the test.
Assessment Criteria:
• Active participation in lectures and seminars (20%). • Conducting a competency interview and analysis (40%). • Test (40%). • Active participation in lectures and seminars. Requirements: The student actively participates in all seminars, engages in discussions on a particular issue, problem, justifies and defends his/her opinion, uses appropriate terminology in discussions and refers to the literature sources read. • Conduct a competency interview and analysis independently. Requirements: The student independently conducts a competency interview with the candidate in a simulation situation in order to evaluate previously selected 3 competences. The interview is recorded, transcribed and analysed. In the analysis, the student should focus on the questions asked, making a comment on the questions that were successfully asked and allowed to obtain the necessary information; the student should describe how the information obtained reflects the specific competence; the student should point out those questions that were not relevant and should have been asked differently. At the end of the analysis, a summary should be given of the extent to which each of the competences is expressed to the candidate. The recording of the interview shall be submitted together with the analysis of the interview. • Prepare for a written test on the material covered during lectures. Requirements: The student successfully completes the written test.

Knowledge:• Defines organisational psychology as a science, its subject matter and problems. • Describes organisational development techniques and types of consulting. • Describes various motivation theories. • Defines the concepts of power and influence. • Describes the psychological manifestations of the power-subordination relationship in organisations. • Defines the functions and roles of the manager. • Describes the psychological and socio-psychological characteristics of the individual types and the impact of these characteristics on the work process. • Defines loyalty towards the organisation and describes the loyalty formation conditions. • Describes methods of personnel selection. • Describes the basic principles of talent management. • Distinguishes between various leadership theories. • Distinguishes between different management styles and their impact on work processes within the organisation. • Distinguishes between the methods of performance evaluation. • Distinguishes between basic processes of talent management, employee development and motivation systems. • Describes the causes, dynamics and prevention options of organisational conflict, occupational stress and mobbing.
Skills:• Evaluates what type of organisational culture is specific to the particular organisation and how it affects organisational processes and relationships within the organisation. • Conducts a competency interview.
Competencies:• Explains the psychological processes and phenomena associated with the organisation, its constituent social groups and work teams. • Develops a job description. • Analyses the factors determining job satisfaction.
