The Human Resources Department of Rīga Stradiņš University is an administrative unit which aims to develop and implement RSU human resource management policy, ensure uniform compliance with HR regulations within the university, as well as to provide support to other RSU structural units in the field of human resources management.

The team of the Human Resources Department is like a bridge between an employer and employees, between the laws and practice. The department aims to promote the development of human resources, acts in conformity with the strategic goals of the university and maintains a close link with the main value of RSU – PEOPLE.

Functions

  • Advise the heads of structural units and employees on issues regarding the legal framework of employment relationship
  • Administer the legal framework of employment relationship
  • Create and implement employee development, assessment and motivation plans
  • Create and implement remuneration programmes
  • Ensure labour protection and fire safety processes
  • Work with public authorities to address issues related to employment relationship
