Objective:
To develop in-depth understanding of professional communication of police officers and to be able to apply the acquired knowledge in practice. Tasks: 1. To enhance the student’s knowledge of basic communication principles in the professional area of police officers; 2. To improve theoretical skills and to develop practical skills of communicating with different members of society. 3. To independently apply skills in interrogation psychology.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:Ability to demonstrate comprehensive and specialised knowledge consistent with police work and understanding of the key principles of the professional communication of a police officer: culture of behaviour in police work, verbal and non-verbal communication, substance of conflicts and the resolution thereof, specifics of interacting with different members of society, psychological aspects of interrogation.
Skills:Able to apply general and special terminology, to carry out practical tasks related to the communication of a police officer with colleagues, communication specifics with different social groups, psychological aspects of interrogation within one’s area of competence; able to prepare a written report on a topic related to the specifics of professional communication of a police officer, psychological aspects of interrogation, to analyse data and to provide constructive solutions to problems, and to present it.
Competencies:Ability to describe and analyse practical problems in police work that are associated with professional communication specifics of police officers, select and use information and apply it effectively when communicating with different members of society.
