Preliminary Knowledge:
Anatomy and physiology.
Objective:
To learn the aetiology, pathogenesis, clinic, complications, treatment principles of nervous diseases, tactics in emergency situations.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
Prior preparation for the topic of the respective class, using the literature sources indicated, within the scope of the study programme.
Assessment Criteria:
Student’s independent work, student’s level of knowledge, assessed by discussing the independent work with the lecturer in preparation for a lecture on the topic. At the end of the course: an exam on the topics covered.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:As a result of completing the study course, students will be able to recognise and describe the symptoms of nervous diseases, methods of diagnosis, treatment and psychological support.
Skills:After successfully completing the course, students are able to differentiate clinical signs and symptoms of nervous diseases, diagnose and classify them according to severity and degree of danger, justifying the activities of a physician assistant in solving patient problems.
Competencies:Students will be able to apply their knowledge in the assessment and diagnosis of patients, acting according to the case, educating patients, relatives and the public in the preservation and maintenance of health.
