Preliminary Knowledge:
Psycho-social needs, Communication in health care, Transcultural care, Health care philosophy, Psychosomatic medicine, Stress management.
Objective:
Acquire knowledge of nursing patient therapeutic relationship-building basic principles, encourage the development of basic skills for successful communication and therapeutic relationship management.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
Patient cases descriptive analysis, one cases communication and therapeutic relationship plan development and preparation of one study analysis.
Assessment Criteria:
Students prepare and present communication model for one clinical care situation, independently analyze the patient's needs and develop a therapeutic relationship plan (for one situation), prepare and presents an overview of the research carried out in relation to communication in health care.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:By completing the study course students are able to describe the basic principles of successful communication, therapeutic relationship and therapeutic environment building conditions.
Skills:By completing the study course the students are able to differentiate the patient's communication needs, assess stress related situations in patient care and develop an appropriate relationship model.
Competencies:By completing the study course the students are able to analyze the patient as a personality, assess his needs in communication and generate therapeutic relationship management conditions.
