Preliminary Knowledge:
The concept of human anatomy, health, it`s care and physical activity.
Objective:
Provide students with knowledge of physical health recommendations, its care and organisation in our country. As well as knowledge and skills required to be able to effectively assess health and physical fitness.

Assessment
Unaided Work:
Recommended literature, prepare for examinations. Collecting and presenting the results of the tests carried out during practical classes. In order to evaluate the quality of the study course as a whole, the student must fill out the study course evaluation questionnaire on the Student Portal.
Assessment Criteria:
1. practical work (50%); 2. assessment of the written exam according to a 10-point grading system (50%).

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:On successful completion of the course the students will be able to: - explain the concept of physical health; - describe the EUROFIT method and its use in students, athletes and adults’ physical evaluation of preparedness; - characterise the assessment of the cardiovascular system using various methods and the most topical evaluation methods tests; - characterise the evaluation of musculoskeletal system using various methods and the most topical evaluation tests; - characterise the assessment of body composition using the fat fold and bioimpedance method; - describe the assessment of aerobic and anaerobic abilities using various methods and the most topical evaluation methods tests.
Skills:On successful completion of the course the students will be able to: - use THE EUROFIT method for assessing physical fitness and assess it results; - use simple assessment methods of cardiovascular system and explain the results; - use the simplest methods for evaluation of musculoskeletal system and explain the results; - apply assessment methods of body composition and explain the results; - use the simplest methods for assessing aerobic and anaerobic abilities and explain the results.
Competencies:The acquired skills and competences will allow students to understand health and physical fitness recommendations, assessment methods in various body systems, which will allow them to develop and adapt individual training plans for both young people, adults and professional athletes. the acquired knowledge will also allow them to spot potential health risks.
