Freshmen invited to the traditional Sports Day

Following a tradition introduced several decades ago, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) invites all freshmen to the traditional Sports Day to be held this Friday (8 September) from 11:00 till 17:00 in Uzvaras Parks. Join in and meet new people in a competitive and friendly atmosphere. Freshers are encouraged to take part in teams to reveal their skills and team spirit on the basketball or volleyball court or demonstrate their sprint speed and running technique in the 100-metre sprint, 1000-metre run or relay race.

Participants of the event will have the chance to test their skills on the indoor rower, at darts, sumo, slacklining and other activities. To ensure full participation of local and international students who represent 28 different countries, the Sports Day will be hosted both in Latvian and English.

To sign up for the basketball, volleyball or football tournaments, please fill in the appropriate registration form provided below. Registration for team sports will close on 7 September at 12:00, whereas the registration for individual sports will still be possible on the day of the event.
