On Friday, 25 April, Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) will take part in the All-Latvian Olympic Day for the first time, organised by the Latvian Olympic Committee. From 9:50 to 10:05, all students, as well as academic and administrative staff, are invited to join a group exercise class either at RSU Inspiration Park or in front of the main entrance of the RSU Latvian Academy of Sport Education (RSU LASE) at 333 Brīvības gatve.
The Latvian Microsurgery Center (LMC) is one of the clinical practice sites for students in the Nursing study programme at the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Faculty of Health and Social Sciences. Kristaps Jurjāns will defend his doctoral dissertation on 30 April in an open meeting of the RSU Clinical Medicine doctoral committee. His dissertation is titled 'Functional Outcome and Mortality of Cardioembolic Stroke Patients Dependent on Antithrombotic Therapy.'

On 12 April, the Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) folk dance ensemble Ačkups organised a charity performance titled "Kas te rīb". The goal of the event was to raise donations for the Children’s Clinical University Hospital (BKUS) initiative Drosmes kaste (Box of Courage), which provides support to children in the hospital by offering them toys, games, or books as encouraging surprises after medical procedures or during difficult times.
As part of Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) Research Week 2025, a discussion was held on ‘The young athlete in Latvia: how sustainable is our system?’. Leading experts from the sports industry analysed the challenges facing Latvia’s sports system and discussed the necessary reforms to ensure stable and sustainable development opportunities for young athletes and their coaches.
On 10 April, the Ambassador of Canada, H. E. Brian Szwarc, visited Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) with his delegation to learn about the university’s development initiatives and to explore future collaboration opportunities between RSU and Canada — particularly in organising a course on military medicine, as well as in the fields of science and education.
