China's Role and Perception in the Baltic States: Implications for National Security and NATO

NATO decisions are the expression of the collective will and they are based on a consensus. Therefore, in order to contribute to a cohesive NATO and well-informed local audiences, it is important to measure, debate, analyse and compare the perceptions of China among NATO Member states, and explain to the local stakeholders and populations how such perceptions measure up against their national and collective security.

NATO co-funded research will identify perceived and actual role of China in the Baltic states and national and collective security challenges posed by it.
Research – edited volume – will be published at the end of year 2022.

The research is carried out in Riga Stradins University by Una Aleksandra Bērziņa-Čerenkova, Māris Andžāns, Evija Djatkoviča and Justīne Kante in cooperation with researchers from Lithuania and Estonia.
