About Study Course
Objective
Provide an opportunity to acquire knowledge and develop skills for communication with clients and colleagues. Develop the skills to understand the situation, the problem and possible solutions; apply appropriate principles of contact to different types of personalities; recognise conflict, signs of conflict, assess the importance of conflict and apply its resolution skills. Recognise and assess professional burn-out risks, apply techniques to prevent them.
Prerequisites
Basic psychology knowledge, introduction to speciality, introduction to practice.
Learning outcomes
Students describe the components of communication that form the basis for establishing and maintaining contact with a client, defining signs of conflict; list the main characteristics of personality types; knows the characteristics of group dynamics and the concept of leadership; describes burnout risks, signs and preventive measures.
In role plays use active listening, professionally leads the conversation with the client. Situation simulations use conflict resolution skills and are able to identify situations that cause burnout. Evaluate own resources, burnout risks and developing communication skills.
Students differentiate communication with different client groups and personality types and justify / describe their choices; distinguishes the features of different conflict situations, uses strategies to solve them
