Nanotechnology in Medicine (FK_059)
About Study Course
Objective
To provide students with an introduction to the fundamental physical principles of nanotechnology, its applications in biomedicine and related scientific research.
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of physics, mathematics and anatomy.
Learning outcomes
Know the physical principles of nanotechnology and examples of practical applications of nanotechnology in modern biomedicine.
1. Use nanotechnology terms correctly.
2. Outline the role of nanomedicine in the development of classical medicine.
3. Propose possible solutions for modern diagnostic and therapeutic medicine using the acquired knowledge of the application of nanotechnology in medicine.
Upon completion of the study course, students will be able to assess the current and potential effects of nanomaterials and nanotechnologies on the human body and be able to justify their use in nanomedicine and nanodiagnostics.
