Objective

To introduce students with a structure of research work and basic principles of writing it.

Prerequisites

Secondary school level knowledge in English, Mathematics and Essay writing.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

On successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
• evaluate a concordance of a research publication to evidence based literature principles,
• describe structure of a research paper,
• describe designs of research.

Skills

On successful completion of the course, the students will be able to:
• select and use evidence based literature,
• summarize literature,
• choose an appropriate design of research,
• apply an appropriate method for data processing,
• present research results.

Competence

On successful completion of the course, students will be able to:
• write independently a research paper,
• obtain health information and critically evaluate it,
• recognize health research designs,
• use results of evidence based literature in practice.
