Study course description
Preliminary Knowledge:
Basic knowledge in ENT, pharmacology, immunology, radiology, anatomy, physiology, morphology, pathology, oncology.
Theoretical and practical learning of enhanced diagnostics and treatment of ENT diseases, based on research proved basis. Acquire differential diagnose diseases based on the interpretation of different ENT symptoms.

Unaided Work:
The student prepares for the classes by rewising knowledge from the general Otorhinolaryngology course. For the last class, the student must prepare a presentation (max. 10 slides) about the most interesting patient he/she has had during the whole study course in any of the clinical basis. The presentation must include basic patients data, anamnesis, diagnosis, examination and treatment plan, the theoretical background for those plans.
Assessment Criteria:
To get the pass for the course, the student must participate in all the practical classes and to present the patient in the final class.

Learning Outcomes
Knowledge:Students acquire enhanced knowledge in Otorhinolaryngology, differential diagnosis of different ENT symptoms and syndromes, comprehend the manifestation of systemic diseases in upper airways, hearing and balance system.
Skills:Students perforem enhanced examination of the patient with otorhinolaryngology symptoms, are able to understand the signification of those symptoms in the identification of the disease. Make a treatment plan. Are able to decide on the surgical and/or conservative treatment.
Competencies:Recognise different Otorhinolaryngology symptoms and understand the meaning of those symptoms in diagnosis and differential diagnosis. Assessment of the manifestation of the systemic diseases in the upper airways, hearing and balance systems. Plan and realise the examination and treatment plan for patients with different ENT diseases.
