The Department of Sports and Nutrition at Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU), together with Möller's invite students, residents and others to attend a guest lecture by Professor William S. Harris from the Senford Faculty of Medicine at the University of South Dakota. The lecture 'The role of omega-3 fatty acids in the organism' will take place on 5 November at 13:30.

The lecture will take place in English.

The question and answer session as well as the discussion will be led by Lolita Neimane, lecturer at the RSU Department of Sports and Nutrition.

About the lecturer

Prof. William S. Harris has 39 years of scientific experience and is the author of more than 225 articles on omega-3. Prof. Harris is the co-inventor of the Omega-3 Index test (2004), a test that provides new ways to measure omega-3 levels in the blood. Prof. Harris has led five US government-backed research grants (National Health Authority) for research on omega-3, lipid metabolism and cardiovascular risk reduction.
