Seminar “EIT Health Info Day 2021” on business creation programmes held by EIT Health Latvia Hub

European Institute of Innovation and Technology's Health Knowledge and Innovation Community (EIT Health) continues its cooperation with RSU in 2021 – offering Latvian start-ups in the field of healthcare a wide range of opportunities to develop their business. On the 17th of February EIT Health Latvia Hub hosted an informative seminar “EIT Health Info Day 2021” about programs that support start-ups in all phases of development.

“EIT Health was created to speed up innovations in the healthcare systems of European Union (EU) countries. EU is not homogenous in terms of innovative ecosystem and because of that a particular focus is on helping the countries that are behind. Our ultimate goal is to elevate European innovation ecosystem to the world level,” said EIT Health Business Creation Manager Tamás Békási during the introductory part of his presentation for Info Day 2021.

In 2021, EIT Health business creation program will offer more than 70 support activities – from seminars to opportunities to expand into international markets.

Last year, EIT Health Latvia Hub not only offered similar business creation programs, but also held several start-up networking events, involved hospital stakeholders in the webinar series “Morning Health Talks”, and organized a student hackathon – planning to continue similar activities in 2021.
