VII International Interdisciplinary Conference Society. Health. Welfare to be held in October
From 10 to 12 October 2018 Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) will host the 7th International Interdisciplinary Conference Society. Health. Welfare. This year the annual conference will deal with urban and rural social development dynamics and welfare.
The organisers of the conference – the RSU Faculty of Public Health and Social Welfare welcome specialists and researchers from various fields: sociology, public relations and communication, healthcare and rehabilitation, pedagogy and psychology, social welfare and social work, economics, law and political sciences to share their findings and experience in studying urban and rural environments from diverse perspectives.
The conference will cover the following thematic panels:
- Political and economic determinants in urban and rural development
- Urban and rural linkages and implications for lifestyle and social and cultural development
- Community-based healthcare and health promotion
- Potential of human and social capital in urban and rural development
- Urban and rural linkages and impact on community safety
- Social enterprise as the potential for the development of social services and community welfare
Konferences ietvaros notiks pirmskonferences semināri medicīniskās izglītības, rehabilitācijas un sociālā darba jomā, kā arī jauno pētnieku simpozijs.
The conference will also contain pre-conference workshops on medical education, rehabilitation and social work and a symposium of young researchers.
The deadline for submitting abstracts is 1 April and the authors’ registration for the conference will be open till 1 August.
