Aim

To develop a strategic network through international cooperation on the ground of legal and ethical aspects of research into remote health services. To create a thematic research partnership in the field of legal and ethical aspects of remote treatment. Promote excellence and increase the scientific capacity of researchers, academics, students, and healthcare practitioners in the exchange of information and experience in the thematic area of the project. In order to achieve the objectives, an international conference on challenges to the legal and ethical aspects of remote treatment services will be organised and a thematic collection of scientific papers will be published.

Description

On 17 June 2022, the RSU Faculty of Law will organise the international conference “Legal aspects of remote health services: German and Baltic States Experience”. The conference and related events will bring together lawyers, medical practitioners, researchers from German, Estonian, Lithuanian, and Latvian universities, and medical institutions.

The main objective of the conference is the exchange of experience and the transfer of knowledge in the field of remote health services, in terms of rights and ethics. In order to achieve the objectives, the invited researchers, lawyers, medical practitioners will present their research on remote health services, with a particular emphasis on legal challenges.

The conference is organised by the RSU Faculty of Law and researchers in cooperation with the Zittau Görlitz University of Applied Sciences (Germany).
