Learning outcomes

Knowledge

The study course will give the students basic knowledge about cell functions and structure, cellular impairment role in human disease process. Major diversities in human ontogenesis. Inborn errors of metabolism. Types of inheritance.

Skills

Basic skills in light microscopy, preparation of samples for light microscopy. Students can identify different structures of cell, can describe oogenesis and spermatogenesis. Knows how to draw and draw pedigrees. Students can do elementary problem solving in genetics. They different types of inheritance, can anylze them.

Competence

Students are able to analyze simple situations in medical genetics. Students appreciate importance of organoids in function of organs and organ systems.
