Objective

To deepen the knowledge and understanding of effective resolution of conflicts and use of mediation in social work.

Prerequisites

Interpersonal communication; Social work on a case.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

Able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge and understanding of the effective settlement of conflicts and the use of social mediation in working with individuals, families, groups, organisations and communities from the point of view of social work.

Skills

Able to explain, rationalise and discuss different values or interests with regard to social decision-making; able to develop skills and competence independently, take responsibility in mediation practice.

Competence

Able to independently formulate and critically analyse social conflicts, able to integrate knowledge into mediation practices in different areas and contribute to the development of innovative methods in the field of social work.
