Objective

Build an understanding and promote acquisition of basic knowledge on social pedagogy.

Prerequisites

Knowledge in communication and developmental psychology, pedagogy, knowledge of social legislation; understanding of children's and family rights and social guarantees.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

Knowledge on the activity of a social pedagogue, on the competencies and functions of social pedagogical work, on the target groups of the social pedagogue, on the role of a social pedagogue in team work, on approaches to problem solving in social pedagogical practice.

Skills

Recognize problem situations, factors and consequences influencing their formation, to apply methods appropriate to the field, to analyze legislation (including in the field of protection of children's rights), to generate ideas in socio-pedagogical activities in the field of prevention.

Competence

Student is able to apply the acquired knowledge and skills in social pedagogical activities.
