Objective

To impart knowledge of specific peculiarities of sports pedagogy, to acquaint with the basic concepts, means, methods and philosophical basic conditions of the process of sports and training. To develop understanding of the regularities of movement teaching, of training systems, of training methods and fundamental differences in health sports, to develop skills to develop and improve the complexity of biomotor abilities and metabolic processes, to develop skills in planning, organizing, managing, individual characteristics of physical condition.

Prerequisites

Anatomy, physiology, biochemistry.

Learning outcomes

Knowledge

1.On completion of the study course, the students will acquire basic knowledge in the field of sports and training theory with in-depth understanding of health sports in relation to the individual characteristics of an individual's age, gender, physical and health condition.

Skills

1.Students should be able to test the level of physical fitness, evaluate the efficiency of the training process and make adequate changes in the training process.

Competence

1.On successful course completion students will be able to plan, organize and manage the health-promoting training process, focusing on the regularity of physical activity and the principles of dosing.
