For Students

For several years in a row, the Student Challenge has been the most exciting side event of the TechChill Conference. We will keep the hype going this year by giving you students the chance to get your hands dirty and learn everything there is to know about the startup ecosystem!

The Student Challenge consists of two events on 11 and 13 May at which you will get to:

  • hear stories from different startup leaders and get practical advice on how to go from idea to product;
  • get to know the Baltic startup ecosystem and find out more about the major Baltic accelerators and the criteria they use to admit teams;
  • try your hand at building an idea yourself to understand what you need to consider when developing it into a product,
Those who attend both events will receive free tickets to this year's TechChill Conference (and merch from the organisers).

Start thinking and get inspired so that you can bring your best ideas to the Student Challenge! Sign up using the form below and we will see the most daring of you at the official TechChill side event - Student Challenge 2021!

11 May - Founder Stories (17:00-19:00)

Hear stories from founders about how they developed their ideas into actual products. This will be followed by a workshop for generating ideas where you will work in groups to come up with your own startup idea. Don't worry - we will be on hand to guide you through this!

13 May - Finding Funding (17:00-19:00)

Get to know main startup ecosystem players in Latvia and meet our very own regional accelerators. This will be followed by a session where you will learn pitching techniques and get the opportunity to develop your crazy idea further and pitch it to an audience.

A more detailed agenda can be found on our FB page!

TechChill is the largest startup event in the Baltic States that brings together startup CEOs, investors and other stakeholders with the intent to promote Latvia globally. This year, the Student Challenge is organised together with TechHub Riga, Latvia's main startup co-working space, and TheRaccoons, a youth STEM community.
